How to get to Pu Luong

Convenient routes from Mai Chau to Pu Luong
There are currently two popular and convenient routes to reach Pu Luong tourist area:
The first route from Hanoi to Pu Luong follows QL6 via the Dai Lo Thang Long Expressway, passing through Hoa Binh city. At Tan Thanh, turn right onto DT 440. This route is a bit challenging but shorter, taking about 3 hours and 30 minutes.
An alternative, easier route is also via QL6: pass through Mai Chau town, then turn onto CT02, continue for a short distance until reaching Road 15C, and go straight to Pu Luong. Although this route takes about an hour longer, the road is wider, easier to drive, and suitable for larger vehicles.
The Ho Chi Minh Trail route is scenic and open, taking around 4 hours. From Hanoi, head toward Ba La (Ha Dong) to enter the Ho Chi Minh Road. Continue to Cam Thuy (Thanh Hoa), then turn onto National Highway 217. Upon reaching La Han Bridge, turn onto CT02 and continue straight for about 15 km to reach Pu Luong.
